Breakfast
All of us were a little late getting up. The all-you-can-eat breakfast was great. I really hope that my addiction to coffee doesn't carry over to work life. I must have had three cups of heavily sugared java while I filled up on bread, cheese, and butter. By the time we were ready to set out on a walk we had picked up another member, Jana from Canada.

Thermal Baths
We walked away from the river this time. Found the Millineum Monument with its tribute to the heroes of Hungary's past. Beyond that was a park with more buildings built for the 1896 party marking 1000 since Hungarians (the Magyar people) ""founded"" the city here. Besides the permanent carnival, the other attraction of the park comes from the Ottoman influence: the bath. Like the Romans before them, the Ottomans had a liking for large bathhouses with multiple pools kept at different temperatures. The bath in the park is more like a standard swimming pool these days, but some other baths here maintain their bathing history.

Made Inn
I was hoping to hit this bagel shop that we had heard about, but instead the group went for a place just south of the park. Made Inn was serving up some kind of bungalow atmosphere with Greek music and a varied menu. I went for the soya medallions. We all sampled each others foods and wandered which one was more Hungarian. Still haven't seen much paprika aside from the goulash soup that Jasper had yesterday. Anyway, the food was pretty good and the company not bad either.

Worn Down
I stopped by a movie house on the way back. I still have an itching to catch some films while on the road. The movies are less than US2 here, but none of the English-language ones looked to appealing. Returned to the hostel and proceeded to waste the night away. There is something different about the homesickness of a trip like this. It is more of a longing for stability and predictability. I've always said that I could travel indefinitely, but there are some days when you just feel like calling it quits.
