Merrry Nowicki grew-up on a farm near a rural town in the middle of the US. During College, she spent a term abroad traveling and studying with other students and professors in Asia. She got a masters in geology from Arizona State, and started her marriage "on the rocks" with a wedding ceremony inside the Grand Canyon.
