On Friday morning we started hiking at 7:00 am. For approximately three hours we hiked through a vertical bog that seemed never ending.

Kenyan Guide Michael Miano and Christian (above) and I hiked throught the Teleki Valley (13,500 - 14,500 feet) on the last part of our walk on Friday. Many species of alpine plants reach surreal sizes due to twelve hours of sunlight per day throughout the year.
