I don't know why, but the phrase, "I just got my ass kicked" has been running through my mind tonight. Well, I know why it occurred to me the first time: I got my ass kicked on an exam tonight. But why does it just keep cycling through my brain as I reply to a long list of email from friends. It is a really funny phrase. I don't normally use many words that even border on bad language or profanity. Only for emphasis or humor, or just to try it out. I think that my speech has gotten a little rougher since I went to Japan. In Japanese language, college guys are like expected to use some words that sound rather rough. If you don't, then you sound like a sissy. There is even a special way to say "I." Anyway, it is funny how the phrase evolved from "I am going to kick you ass." to "I got my ass kicked." Am I going on here?
So it was not a real "up" week. I kinda blew it on this group paper that I volunteered to write. It wasn't my favorite group project, so I thought I might solve something by doing it alone and getting it over with. Well, I just didn't have the energy to finish it, so I gave it over to someone else. That means that they all think I am a bad guy now. Anyway, I have made worse enemies.
Plans for the weekend include lots of homework and studying. I have to at least pretend like an accounting major even if I don't look like one. After all, I have an interview tomorrow with an accounting firm. Until I get a job, I have to keep my grades up. Then, I can slack off if I like. Everything will be solved by that first job offer, right? It's the senior's illusion.
Well, as you can see, it is late and I am tired. Tomorrow is another day.
