About the only thing I accomplished this weekend was I wrote some thank-you letters to all of the people that I interviewed with this week. That is not much of an achievement considering all of the things that I need to do. I did pretty up my home page here and there again. Lots of pictures and banners now. I guess I am happy with myself, but I have another busy week ahead.
I emailed Brica today. I was a little harsh with her. She wants me to mail all of her old letters back to her. I thought that was a rather strange request. It sounds like she is thinking about going somewhere with her life. She is looking for jobs and talking about getting published (whereas before she said she would just share her writing with her friends, though I never saw any of it) and whatnot. I guess I am happy for her if she is really making some progress. It still gets to me, though, to hear her talk and not act. At least we are not together now, so it is really not my problem.
The parents came over to take me out to eat last night. We did a little shopping as well. Dad was not really in a good mood. I can't understand that guy sometimes. The only thing that I could think is that he is mad at me cuz I have no money. He always bugged me about spending money. I could never enjoy anything because he didn't think I worked hard enough for my money. Well, I have a little cash problem now due to a screw-up with my payroll at work, so I am borrowing some money from the parents. I wonder if that is what made him grumpy.
I showed them my photo album from the Southeast Asia trip. They weren't too excited. I guess it was kinda late. I went through the explanation in record time. They only asked like one or two questions. I can understand if they don't have an interest in far-off worlds, but I think I have some interesting pictures in there. You would think they would want to know a little more about what I did and saw for two months this spring.
Anyway, so that is the week's weekend update. Gene went home for the weekend, so I camped out in the living room and read a little about tax accounting. Two exams this week, but only three interviews. That should be manageable...
