First, we're making our first waseda reunion at Ben's cafe this Friday at 9ish. We're planning on a dinner at 7:30 ish, so if you're in town, give us a ring or just show up. We'll love to see you there. But moving on... past the advertisement, there's very little to talk about. I received Diane's very early Christmas card... and I'm quickly reminded of the fact that we've embarked upon this holiday season. It's wacky to think that I've actually started writing... but the reality of the fact lies that I probably won't get around to finishing... and needless to say... sending... to the appropriate individuals in some good time. So das is dat. Work is progressing well. I submitted my first project today, and my second is going to happen in the next day or two.. Can't wait. but I must say... it's quaint to see so many people whose literally addicted to work. they just can't get enough... and they're more than willing to sacrifice "life" in the most genuine sense. The wacky thing is... there's only one person married... and even she seems more married to work than a husband. Such is life at Goldman Sachs. Moving on... music and alcohol... I'm nearing the end of my wine collection. It went really quick. Pretty wacky to thing that 2 dozen bottles of wine disappeared in a matter of a month. I've just finished another bottle with a few friends on a Monday night... and with a small handful left to go... I wonder whether I'll have any left at the end of the week. das is life. Well, boredom seems to kick in fast. the season is beautiful. yoyogi ko-en is beautiful, and the yellowing leaves are absolutely astonishing. enough said actually. it just might be the season... so many damn couples that just can't seem to dissociate themselves from each other. Autumn just might be the appropriate season for such... but now we're in winter. isn't this supposed to be the colder months of the year? more random thoughts... yaki nasu, nihon shu, and yu-dofu... things just don't get better than this. It's almost time for oden. Asahi beer wa ikaga? Well, time to go to sleep. nothing substantial as usual... but what do you expect when you start working? I think I need a good novel. Euge |
