While stationed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 2009-11, I plan to travel around the the countryside and also visit some nearby countries as well. Since I have never been to Africa before, this is a great opportunity to see a lot of places without dealing with multiple long-haul flights from home. Luckily Ethiopian Airlines is practically the best on the continent and also offers direct flights to nearby places like Yemen and Dubai. Check back often for updates!
