March 17: Curry Rice

7pm

I'm just running out of time to write in the journal lately. There is not a lot to say. The biggest news of the week is that I managed to add a new dish to my impressive repertoire of cooking. Yes, the famous curry rice, Japanese style. I was a little shocked when I suddenly realized one day that my favorite ramen (Sapporo Ichiban Miso Ramen) has over 80% of one day's allowance for sodium. I really need to have more variety, I think. I discovered those packs of frozen mixed vegetables which are great for making stir fry (just fry with a little sugar and soy sauce) or curry.

I can't wait for spring break to get here. I guess I really only have a couple classes tomorrow and then I am done. I have really slacked off this week. Keeping busy with other things. Tomorrow I am trying out for the graduation speech contest. You can check out the speech which I may be giving at the end of this semester. It does not convey everything that I wanted to say to the graduates, but it is close. If I do get selected to give the speech, I hope to spice it up a bit. Perhaps I'll get really crazy and just give a speech condemning the University and all of its graduates. That would be fun...

And that is the news for today...
