March 23: Spring Break

11:44am

Yes, it is time to get out and enjoy that sunshine. Maybe take a trip down to Cancun. For the senior in accounting, it is time to catch up on CPA studying. Actually, I am pretty well caught up, but I just feel like I should be doing something more. I am already three days into my spring break, though, and I still haven't gotten much done.

Josh came down Friday night. We went out to C-Street and stayed up late. Saturday we went to Rentertainment and picked out nine wacky videos to pass the time. We watched four Japanese movies, plus a Pixar animation deal, and taped the rest of the videos for later. The Japanese movies were really good. I have to remember to get back and watch the rest of Juzo Itami's series of Nantoka no Onna movies (Supermarket Woman, Taxing Woman, Minbo no Onna, etc). We went out for some more dancing on Saturday night too. It was a very fun visit, but between the movies, the Mtn. Dew, and the lack of sleep, I am a little worn out.

Yesterday, Sunday, I ended up working ten hours at the computer lab. I was supposed to be here only five hours, but the next guy didn't show up. Since there is basically nobody else around to take my place, I decided to just go ahead and work. I still didn't manage to write in my journal or do anything else really productive. My big project for the day was perfecting the new web page for my parent's condo in Colorado. Somehow it is rewarding to make these web pages, even though there is no reward. I guess the word is satisfying. I still think it is great that anyone who wants to be a writer and/or get "published" can now do so thanks to the internet. I was a little upset to find that some company has stolen my site name. I tried a search the other day and found they actually sell shoes at worldwideshoes.com Damn them...

Hopefully, I will be heading out to Colorado on Thursday for a quick trip to the condo. I don't plan to ski or bike or day anything that I couldn't do here. I just figure that my studying could use some different scenery. I can do CPA problems here or I can do them in a hot tub in Frisco surrounded by beautiful mountains. Somehow the three days of paradise make the two days of driving worthwhile. I'll get back late monday night.
