April 27: Cram Time?

7:30pm

Yes, we are down to the last eight days of serious studying for the infamous cpa. I finally started to get down to business yesterday and today. I am still working on studies for the final exams for classes which are tomorrow and Friday. They cover the last of the material for the CPA exam. I am pretty much done with that stuff, so now I just have to review. I don't think anyone feels 100% ready for anything yet, but I suppose I am as ready as anyone. Or at least, as ready as I will ever be, or one of those cliches...

In all of the excitement, I failed to make an important lunch date last week. I invited Professor Lynge, a guy that has helped me out a lot, to go for lunch. I kinda wanted to repay him for the recommendations he wrote for me and the advice that he gave. I also wanted to get his input on my Graduation Speech. However, somehow I managed to forget about the appointment until later that night. I was actually looking at this new electronic planner/scheduler thing that I bought (see below) when it hit me. It really upset me. Not that I cried or anything, but it kind of changed the momentum of a good day. I felt really bad for skipping out on him. I could just imagine him waiting for me for a good twenty minutes or so. Some way to pay back a favor. Anyway, I went and talked to him this morning, and everything was cool. He still gave me some really great advice about my speech and future plans. The whole thing seems kinda small in retrospect, but it is interesting how a little event can really change the mood of a day.

I had been in a good mood that thursday. I received this Zaurus ZR5000 that I am going to use on my trip. The keyboard on this little unit is just big enough for real typing, yet small enough to carry with me all summer. I can even charge the AA batteries on the little solar charger that I also bought on the internet lately. Plans are working out real nice...

Finally found someone to sublet the apartment for the summer too. I am already packing up some stuff to send home. Looking forward to finishing up here at school, yet not really feeling the reality of the end. I have about fifty hours of worked schedule for "finals week" so that should be interesting too. More later.
