More Moving Back in Illinois

09-09-02

We stop by the Whilefs to pick up our Jimmy to take it to the shop for repair of the brake noise. Then we go to the nursing home to visit Jackfs mom. But she tells us, gYou came at a bad time. I am getting ready for my bath right now.h So we leave after 5 minutes even though we just drove 1100 miles to see her. That is good that she isnft too excited to see us; it must mean that she is content without us. We repack our van out at our storage unit?had to put bikes on top so we could get our bed, tables and a few other items to take to Michaelfs. After we check in at the Super 8 in LeRoy we head up to Bloomington for a Mexican meal at our favorite restaurant, Fiesta Ranchero.

We stop by the bank to do some banking. This is my first visit to the bank since I retired 08-02. It feels really strange. It is like I still work there. We visit Jackfs mom for a short time and she does have time for us today. We head up to Michaelfs since we are supposed to babysit for Ava.

We leave Michaelfs with his couch and 2 tables to give to the Salvation Army. We stop by Momfs to drop off a box of dishes. Joan and Al stop by while we are there. We are only there about 3 hours. We then head for Bloomington but arrive too late to drop Michaelfs furniture off. So we check into the Holiday Inn Express there and eat leftovers for supper. Nice hotel!

We drop off the furniture?so glad they took it. We go back out to the storage and pack up more furniture for Michaelfs. Then we go to the bank for a visit and enjoy pizza lunch there in honor of Julie Graningfs last day before she has her baby. We visit Jackfs aunt, Abbie, his cousin, Marilyn, his mom and my friend, Marie Gassaway. Then we drop our Jimmy off at Ed Noffsingerfs to sell and hear for Michaelfs.

09-14-02

Michael and Vanessa have to go to Chuckfs wedding in Chicago so we have to babysit Ava. My sister, Karen, and her husband, Jack, come up for a visit from Naperville, IL. How nice of them to come up.

09-15-02

We move Michaelfs 72" TV down the basement. A real fete!! In the late afternoon we went to downtown Madison to see the Ironman. It is the first time that it was in Madison and we probably will never have the opportunity to see another one. We ate at the Great Dane downtown.
