Back to Wisconsin Again

We had a good time in Colorado. We mostly tried to find places to store our personal items when we rent it out. I also cleaned a lot. But I did have fun once in a while.

I went on a hike with Bob over by Copper Mtn. We hiked up to Wheeler Lakes. It was a great hike. We will have to go on it one of these days. He also took me mountain biking up Boreas Pass by Breckenridge. We rode up the road and came down halfway on the road and road the trail the other half. Larry and Bob took you boys up there and you guys road up the trail while Larry and Bob rode the road up. I road most of the trail down except for the real steep, rocky area near the bottom. I like to ride the mountain bike but I prefer the road bike. I hope after a little more experience riding a mountain bike I will get more relaxed and enjoy it more. Time will tell.

We did buy season passes for skiing Copper Mtn. We thought if we had passes, we would be more apt to ski. Otherwise we probably wouldn't ski because it would cost too much. So if your dad doesn't want to ski with me, perhaps Bob will.

We spent the last day in Colorado going to Denver to pick up another speaker for Michael. After we picked it up, we ate pizza at Beau Jo's in Idaho Springs. We love their pepperoni and green chili pizza.

We took off for Illinois last Thursday. We drove to my aunt's house in Hastings. I had called her the day before and told her we were coming. She thought she would surprise us and invite all my aunts and uncles on my dad's side of the family to go out to eat since we were there. There were 14 of us in all. What a special treat. She was so happy that we decided to spend the night with her.

We took off from her house the next morning and got to LeRoy around 6pm. We went to see Grandma Bishop. She is much worse with her head hanging down and her shoulders rounded. She uses her hand to push her head up. The doctor can't figure what could be causing it. She was to go to her neurologist today and see what she thinks but we haven't called Debra to see what she found out.

We stayed with Jo While Friday, Sat and Sun nights. We went to the Pork and Apple Festival on Saturday with Tom and Jo. We took Grandma to Champaign in the afternoon. Donna LaMar went with us to ride a bike ride out of White Heath. We rode about 56 miles and your dad rode about 40. It was a great day for a bike ride except for the wind. We took Tom and Jo out to eat that night.

We changed our things from the largest storage unit to the smallest one. We have Gene's things and some of our boxes. We also have the curio cabinet that Michael will get when he wants it. We are hoping to get everything out by the end of the year.

I am going to my 40-year class reunion on Saturday. Then we are going to ride the Pumpkin Pie Ride in Ottawa with Karen, Joanie and Joe.

Ed Noffsinger is trying to sell our Jimmy. Dad wants to try to trade our van on an extended Trailblazer tomorrow. I don't know if I am going to go with him or not. I have enough things to keep me busy here.

Ava is so much fun to watch. She does some of the silliest things. Vanessa, Ava and I went shopping at the Goodwill today. I bought a pair of sweat pants. We had a good time. It was raining all day so we couldn't play outside.

Ava just finished eating a snack and is headed for bed. I guess I will bring this to a close.
