Today two of my 2nd year students, Akiko Endo and Tomomi Endo gave me birthday gifts. Akiko gave me a card and 2 packs of Japanese stationery. Tomomi gave me a not and a print club and 2 necklaces that look like they were won at an arcade. I was really touched. It was especially cool that one of the necklaces that Tomomi gave me has a crucifix pendant. They do pay attention. Now if only I had some Leonardo Dicaprio paraphanalia to give them!
