September 16: Typhoon

I was suprised by a typhoon last night (guess I should pay attention to the news). I had to drive home from Kurabuchi. I was lucky, and it only downpoured a few times. But man was it bad later last night. I hardly got any sleep last night. I have been through some bad thunderstorms and blizzards in Illinois, but I have never experienced wind and rain like I did last night. Sometimes the wind was so strong that it roared. I envisioned signs and small animals being blown around the streets. But I guess this typhoon is supposed to abate by noon. Now I am just waiting for a call from my school to say that school wil start later. Cross your fingers!
